Tech billionaire Elon Musk has a theory as to why President Joe Biden has watched the situation at the border get so bad. Tweeting on his platform X on Friday, Musk shared the headline of a 2021 news report that revealed Biden’s plan to prioritize offering legal status to about 11 million people during his time in office.

In addition to the headline shared, Musk stated that Biden is letting in so many illegals in order to create a permanent majority that can help him stay in power.

“1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority – a one-party state. That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective,” Musk wrote.

Musk then quoted that tweet with the caption, “This explains why there are so few deportations, as every deportation is a lost vote. As happened this week, you can literally assault police officers in broad daylight in New York, be released with no bail, give everyone the finger and *still* not be deported!! Outrageous.”

He later drove his point home in a pinned tweet, writing, “In the “bet-you-didn’t-know” category, Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas issued written guidance making it clear that: 1. Illegal presence alone is not grounds for deportation. 2. Criminal charges, convictions or gang membership alone are not enough for deportation. You basically have to be a convicted axe murderer to be deported! That’s because every deportation is a lost vote.”

Musk’s remarks touch on the bail release of many migrants involved in the attack of two NYPD officers. He also addressed a report on a Venezuelan woman who had gotten arrested eight times within the past six months.

“What is even the point of arresting criminals if nothing is done!? No prison, no deportation,” Musk complained.

“No laws need to be passed. All that is needed is an executive order to require proof before granting an asylum hearing. That is how it used to be,” he added.

Musk’s tweets come a week after Biden told reporters that he can do all he can to secure the border. But Congressional Republicans believe that the administration is not doing enough, as House Republicans attempt to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his poor handling of the border. In furtherance of that move, House Republicans released two articles of impeachment against him on Sunday, contending that he is guilty of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
