Dems QUESTION Why WOMEN Support Trump

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, stated that she was unable to see why any woman would vote for the former president Donald Trump.

Following President Joe Biden’s announcement that he would not accept the Democratic candidacy and that he would support Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed him in the 2024 presidential contest against Trump, Democrats have united behind Harris as their choice. Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio made remarks about women without children at a speech in July 2021 that Crockett said he was still upset about ever since he was selected as Trump’s running mate.

“What’s your message to voters, women in particular, who are looking at these comments and they may be still trying to decide between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris?” MSNBC host Ana Cabrera asked Crockett.

Crockett remarked, “It is difficult for me to understand why women would want to support that ticket at all. We already knew that the ideas being pushed by Project 2025 were nothing more than assaults on women, even before J.D. Vance came around. I completely detest all of the rhetoric coming from J.D. Vance because I am childless.”

Some responses to Vance’s speech in July 2021 seem to have taken his remarks on childless women out of context at times. He did not include infertile couples in his criticism of famous Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic representative from New York, or Senator Kamala Harris.

After Trump and Biden matched at 46 percent in surveys conducted in April and June, Harris now leads Trump by 50 percent to 45 percent among female voters, according to a CNN poll. A CNN exit poll for 2020 indicates that women voted for Biden with 57 percent of the vote.

In a national head-to-head matchup, Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris by 1.9 percent, according to the Real Clear Polling average of surveys conducted from July 5 to July 24. When Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and independent presidential candidates Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are taken into account, Trump’s lead increases to 2.8 percent.
