As illegal immigrants at the southern border hit a new all-time high this week, President Joe Biden is being slammed left and right.

In a post to X, reporter Bill Melugin explained how grave the situation has gotten, writing, “We are now at over 760,000 migrant encounters since October 1st, making the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 also the highest ever recorded. That’s a population size bigger than Seattle in just three months.”

“All records being blown out of the water under the Biden admin as the crisis gets worse — not better,” he added.

Per Fox News, migrants encounters at the border in December hit an all-time monthly high of 276,000. This follows the previous monthly high of 269,735 from September and the highest November on record, which saw about 250,000 border encounters.

The numbers did not sit well with many conservatives, with some pointing out that there are supposed to be less migrant encounters in December than in any other month.

Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) stated, “The highest single month ever recorded. Let that sink in. The Biden administration’s open-border policies helped facilitate this chaos. We need border security NOW.”

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) also weighed in, stating, “Remember: December is SUPPOSED to be a ‘slower’ month for migrant apprehensions. Unless and until amnesty-first Senate Republicans realize that [HR2] halts this chaos, we will only see more of the same.”

“We have a President who intentionally made this happen, to the detriment of our own nation & citizens,” tweeted Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC).

For Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-CA), the issue constitutes treason.

“It’s treason. No other way to say it. And now California is going to give illegals free healthcare, but nothing is free, the California taxpayers have to pay for it. The border crisis is the top issue and I want to impeach but can’t get the votes. Would a tax revolt stop it?” she wrote.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham believes the border issue is enough reason for voters not to vote for Biden during the next election, as she suggested that there might not be an America if the problem persists.
