Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) faced some backlash on Sunday due to her support of the Biden administration’s decision to stop some military aid headed for Israel.

In a post to X, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) shared an Axios report that said that the Biden administration might have put a hold on the shipment of ammunition going to Israel due to the Israel Defense Forces plan to launch an offensive in Rafah, which is the last significant Hamas stronghold. According to the report, this would be the first time the U.S. would stop military aid headed to Israel since Hamas carried out an unprecedented attack on the nation on Oct. 7.

Having shared the report in her post, Ocasio-Cortez wrote, “The United States has an obligation to uphold its own laws and to respect human rights globally. Amidst the Israeli gov’s siege on Gaza, blocking humanitarian aid, and threats on Rafah, withholding US military aid is a major development towards ceasefire.’

It did not take long for some users to point out to the lawmaker that Hamas terrorist could easily make a ceasefire happen by releasing all the remaining Israeli hostages they have held since the Oct. 7 attack.

Hen Mazzing wrote, “AOC, On Holocaust remembrance day you spread blood libels, intentionally obscuring the truth: Hamas launched rockets from Rafah at the Kerem Shalom crossing today. The only siege is of Hamas, holding their own people— and 133 Israeli hostages— captive.:

The Democrat was also called out for her unfair support for Hamas terrorists at the detriment of Israel.

“Biden & Schumer are dancing to the Squad’s anti-Israel hatred,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wrote.

“When the lunatic fringe applauds @JoeBiden’s withholding of ammunition from @Israel while she is fighting a multi-front war following the 10/7 atrocities on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, you know that there is zero distinction between the adults in the room and the nuts,” Marc Leibowitz wrote.

“You will go down as one of the worst House Representatives in the history of America. Where was your call for human rights on 10/7? Where is your human rights call for things that happen in African countries? What about South American ones?” a user wrote, calling for “better leaders in Congress.”

Another user challenged Ocasio-Cortez’s claims that the U.S. under President Joe Biden is obligated to uphold the law. So if the US is obligated to uphold the law, as you state, why isn’t Biden protecting our borders? Isreal is not our problem. Not protecting the borders is our major problem,” the user noted.
