In a fiery interview on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized eight fellow Republicans for voting against her articles of impeachment targeting Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas.

Greene’s motion had aimed to hold Mayorkas accountable for his handling of the Southern border after two of her constituents lost their lives in a head-on collision with a car driven by a human smuggler evading law enforcement in Texas.

“How many more Americans have to die before Republicans in Congress feel like they can actually push the button and vote to impeach Mayorkas?” Greene asked in the interview.

Expressing her frustration, Greene stated, “Eight Republicans last night voted to kill it, send my articles of impeachment back to committee where they have been sitting there, collecting dust along with other articles of impeachment on Mayorkas, and it’s ridiculous.”

The eight Republicans who voted against the motion, along with 201 Democrats, included Representatives Cliff Bentz (OR), Ken Buck (CO), John Duarte (CA), Virginia Foxx (NC), Darrell Issa (CA), Tom McClintock (CA), Patrick McHenry (NC), and Mike Turner (OH).

“I mean, these people are out of excuses, and I hope to God that their constituents let them know how poorly they have done yesterday and how badly they are failing America,” she added, reiterating her belief that Mayorkas is responsible for pushing through President Biden’s open border agenda, violating the law in the process. Greene’s articles of impeachment meticulously detail Mayorkas’s alleged legal breaches, making a strong case for his removal.

For Greene, the eight Republicans who voted against the motion are only conservatives in name only.

While she did not list all their names, she singled out Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) and Darrell Issa (R-CA), both of whom serve on the Judiciary Committee responsible for addressing her articles of impeachment. “They are absolute hypocrites. And you know, I don’t even know why they’re in Congress anymore, and how dare they call themselves conservatives,” she stated.

Greene took her reservations towards Issa to X on Tuesday after the congressman told reporters earlier that day that “Marjorie Taylor Greene is a hard-working member of Congress, but I believe she lacks the maturity and the experience to understand what she was asking for.”

In response, Greene outrightly said that Issa “lacked balls.”

This incident wasn’t the only time Greene felt let down by her fellow Republicans. Earlier in the month, she criticized 23 GOP representatives who joined Democrats in voting against her resolution to censure Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for allegedly spreading disinformation and supporting Hamas.

Taking to X after the vote, she listed the Republicans who sided with the Democrats and went on a full rant, saying “This is why Republicans NEVER do anything to stop the communist Democrats or ever hold anyone accountable!! PATHETIC.”

In another tweet, she remarked, “Must be great to be a Democrat. They all stick together to destroy our country and cover up each other’s lies, standing unified to protect Tlaib – Hamas Caucus. But Republicans just join Democrats and vote to destroy our country and our party.”
