President Joe Biden’s rapid response team used an edited video of former President Donald Trump in a recent dig against the president’s political rival.

In a post to X, the rapid response team account for Biden-Harris HQ shared a edited video of Trump speaking at a rally, suggesting that he had called all immigrants, legal and illegal, “animals.”

“Trump: ‘Democrats said please don’t call immigrants animals. I said, no, they’re not humans, they’re animals,’” the account captioned the video.

The account got away with the deceptively edited video until conservative strategist Greg Price pointed out the context of Trump’s speech.

Trump had made the remarks when speaking about the illegal immigrant who was charged with the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.

Before the clip posted by Biden’s rapid response team, Trump had said, “The 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was barbarically murdered by an illegal alien animal — the Democrats say please don’t call them animals, they’re humans. I said no, they’re not humans, they’re animals.”

“Nancy Pelosi told me that, she said please don’t use the word animals when you’re talking about these people. I said I’ll use the word animal because that’s what they are,” he added.

The Libs of TikTok account also weighed in on the edited post, writing, “New ‘bloodbath’ style hoax just dropped. Trump callled criminals and the illegal who m*rdered Laken Riley “animals.” They clipped it to make it appear that Trump is calling all “immigrants” animals. Why do Dems love protecting criminals and m*rderers?”

“Another day and another hoax from the Biden campaign. It’s bloodbath part two. Here is the full video where Trump is clearly calling the illegal who murdered Laken Riley an animal. Does Biden think her killer is a good person and not an animal???” Trump’s first son, Donald Trump Jr. wrote.

A research account managed by the Republican National Committee also corrected the misinformation from Biden’s team. “Biden’s campaign (which has NEVER posted about illegal immigration) is so full of hatred and contempt for the American people, they’re defending Laken Riley’s accused killer to advance their SICK political agenda,” the account tweeted.

In his full speech, Trump pointed to the recent murder of young Americans by illegal immigrants who came into the country through the southern border. Aside from Riley, he mentioned the killing of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia, which was allegedly carried out by an illegal immigrant who had been deported in Trump’s administration but allowed back into the U.S. during Biden’s term thanks to his lax border policies.
