Super Tuesday had former President Donald Trump bouncing to victory as he won over 13 of 14 states up for grabs. By 9:45 p.m. ET on Tuesday night, Trump won the primaries in Arkansas, Alabama, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.

Speaking to Fox News after the races were called in his favor in the 11 states, he called it “a great evening.”

“Rarely has politics seen anything quite like this,” he stated, adding, “It is my honor to represent not just the Republican Party but our country in leading it back to health and prosperity.”

After his conversation with Fox News, the results from California came in and Trump won, in one of his major victories of the night.

The most unexpected win for him had to be the more liberal Virginia, where it seemed that his GOP political rival, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley might stand a chance. However, it turned out that Vermont was the state that held a good turnout for Haley, as she managed to beat Trump there with 50.2% votes to 45.9% which went to Trump. Haley took home 9 delegates from there..

Trump’s campaign, however, did not give away any feelings of pain regarding the GOP frontrunner’s loss in Vermont.

Speaking to Fox News, a Trump campaign spokesperson said, “President Trump dominated Super Tuesday in convincing fashion in ways that have never been done. There is no doubt— President Trump is the nominee and he will go on to defeat Crooked Joe Biden.”

After Vermont’s race call, the results from Utah came in, giving the victory to Trump, who secured 40 delegates and secured 56.6% of the votes while Haley had 42.4%.

Alaska’s results also came out, with Trump winning and carting away 29 delegates and beating Haley 87.6% to 12% in votes.

The night upped Trump’s delegate count to 1,031 from 273 while Haley’s was increased from 43 to 89.

In his victory speech at Mar-a-Lago Tuesday night, Trump cheered his supporters and reiterated his plans to improve the situation of the country.

“We have a great Republican Party with tremendous talent and we want to have unity and we’re going to have unity and going to happen very quickly. I have been saying lately, success will bring unity to our country,” he stated.

Calling Nov. 5 “the single most important day in the history of our country,” he stated, “We’re going to take it and make it like it should be… right now our country is known as a joke.”
