In one of Kamala Harris’ recent speeches to students, she touched on the importance of leadership. However, many have criticized her delivery, saying her tone and manner are more appropriate for an audience one-third as old.
“Our country is counting on you,” she said, nodding her head with every word and talking with her hands for added emphasis. “All of you. You are leaders. By the very fact that you all are here in this room, doing what you do at this incredible school, doing it as one big team, understanding all the different parts that fit together to create a team.”
That style was widely criticized, with some noting that there might be a reason her campaign team keeps the number of on-stage events low.
“Kamala explains the concept of how teams work together to a high school band as if they are 5 years old,” conservative communications strategist Greg Price posted. “It’s a real mystery why her handlers never let her speak without a script …”
“When the hands start a-wavin’, you know it’s gonna be baaaaaaaaaad,” The Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro added.
Hours later, Harris is set to do her first big interview since becoming the de facto nominee. That pre-taped interview, during which she will be joined by her running mate, is being conducted by CNN anchor Dana Bash and scheduled to air Thursday night.
