An employee at Delta Airlines has been going viral for standing up to a transgender actress who was upset that the employee did not address him with his preferred pronouns.

A video circulating on social media showing the fight shows Tommy Dorfman, who started identifying as a trans woman in 2021, complaining of getting “misgendered” as the airline employee called him a “he” rather than a “she.”

The employee, however, refused to cower and boldly explained that he had simply made a mistake.

“It wasn’t intentional, but if you want to take it personal, that’s also okay,” he said.

Dorfman, however, went on to complain that someone else, a woman, misgendered him twice “intentionally.” But the employee was not having his behavior and called him out on it.

“You’re being condescending and if you want to continue, I have full authority to escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me. Would you like to continue three days before Christmas? I really don’t mind,” the employee stated.

“I’m good. I’ll just put this on,” Dorfman responded.

Standing up to the transgender earned the employee strong support on social media as many commended him for taking a strong stance during the incident.

“You are not morally obligated to play along with nuts who demand attention and obedience,” attorney Kurt Schlichter tweeted.

“This is the correct way to deal with these narcissists who demand we give in to their delusions. It’s all just a power trip for them!” the popular X account Libs of TikTok wrote in part.

Podcast host Konstantin Kisin also weighed in, writing, “This is how it’s done. We must stop being a society of adults who are afraid of children who want to enforce their speech codes on the rest of us.”

The video of the exchange was taken by Dorfman, who shared the video on TikTok with the caption, “When you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met woth [sic] even more transphobia and threats of being arrested at La Guardia.”
