Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said recently that Russian President Vladimir Putin has something over former President Donald Trump.

During a Monday interview on former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s show, Pelosi floated the theory of Putin blackmailing Trump by saying, “What does he have on Donald Trump that he has to constantly be catering to Putin? Telling Putin go into these countries, NATO countries.”

Psaki then asked, “What do you think? We’re all wondering this question, Speaker Pelosi, what do you think Putin has on him? I mean, it sure seems like something, as you’ve said a few times, given that he refuses to criticize him, that he seems to be a fanboy of him. Are you worried?”

Pelosi responded by warning that Trump must not be allowed control of the White House or even allowed to take any position in there.

“First of all, we must be sure that he does not step one foot into the White House. Not as president or not as anything. He has brought disgrace to the White House, to these presidents,” she stated.

After derailing to talking about Presidents Day and the late President Abraham Lincoln, she said, “Now we have someone who had the honor of serving in the White House, didn’t consider it an honor, didn’t consider his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution, and on this week speaking out the way he did about [Alexei] Navalny shows you that he is a person without values. He looks like he is going to be a person without dollars either, but the values are what concern us.”

“I don’t know what he has on him, but I think it’s probably financial, I think it’s probably financial — either something financial or something on the come — something that he expects to get,” she added.

Pelosi’s assertions about Trump come after his controversial statement on the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

“The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country. It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path to destruction. Open Borders, Rigged Elections, and Grossly Unfair Courtroom Decisions are DESTROYING AMERICA. WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION! MAGA2024,” he wrote in a post to Truth Social.
The GOP frontrunner also compared Navalny’s death to his legal troubles during a town hall event on Tuesday, saying, “I’m the leading candidate, and I got indicted four times … I have eight or nine trials all because of the fact that I’m in politics. They indicted me with things that are so ridiculous. “It is a form of Navalny.”

His take on the situation earned him criticism in some quarters as some, including his GOP rival Nikki Haley blasted him for not outrightly condemning Putin.
