Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) indicated that her vote during the 2024 presidential election might go to President Joe Biden, instead of former President Donald Trump.

During an appearance on ABC’s “The View,” she suggested that Biden is a lesser evil than Trump as he poses a lesser threat to the United States.

Cheney’s remarks came in response to co host Joy Behar’s question, in which he was asked, “Let me ask you a radical question, because I know you’re a patriotic American and you will vote: if it came down to Biden v. Trump, would you vote for Biden?”

Cheney responded by first clarifying that she would not be endorsing any of the presidential candidates in the race. However, she does not rule out casting her vote for Biden, as she went further to say that while it is unclear what the Republican candidate will secure the Republican Party’s ticket, she does not want Trump on it.

In her words, “And I think that, again, we don’t know exactly what the choice will be. I would say that I will never vote for Donald Trump.”

Cheney went on to tear down claims that Trump is a better option as president than Biden. She thinks very differently, holding the belief that Trump is a much bigger risk as his presidency would be destroying the Constitution.

For the ousted lawmaker, the Constitution goes before policies. Biden, everyone worries, would plunge the United States further into chaos with his bad policies. But Cheney believes that the country can survive bad policies.

During another part of the interview, Cheney said that many Americans are ready to “sleepwalk into a dictatorship,” as they are “numb” to the dangers Trump posed, according to her.

This is not the first time Cheney would put forward her comments about the country sleepwalking into a dictatorship with Trump. Last month, she said the same thing during an interview with CBS News in which she warned against reelecting the GOP frontrunner.

According to Cheney, Trump has made it clear that he would be a dictator.

However, Cheney’s warnings, to some, are nothing more than her hatred talking. Reacting to her CBS News interview during an appearance on CNN, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that Liz’s remarks were rooted in her hatred of Trump, which he says “is real.”

Pointing to the Biden administration’s helplessness in the face of the worsening border crisis and the wars in the Middle East and in Ukraine, Graham believes that allowing another four years of Biden would be far more damaging than another four years of Trump, who he says is a much better president of the two.
