A former business partner of Hunter Biden testified before lawmakers on Wednesday that President Joe Biden’s brother lied to Congressional investigators about the extent of the president’s involvement in his foreign business dealings.

According to Tony Bobulinksi, a former Naval officer who was involved in James and Hunter’s venture with Chinese government-linked CEFC China Energy, “Jim Biden … lied extensively throughout his transcribed interview on February 21, and perjured himself.”

The focus issue is a May 2, 2017 meeting between Biden, Hunter, James and Bobulinski at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. While James testified before the House Oversight Committee that Biden was at the hotel for a speaking engagement and was not part of the meeting, investigators questioned him about a message Bobulinski sent to him after the meeting in question, suggesting he met with Biden.

“Great to meet you and spend some time together. Please thank Joe for his time. It was great to talk. [Thanks], Tony B,” the message read.

However, when probed about it, James insisted “Joe Biden never met with Tony Bobulinski.”

On Wednesday, Bobulinski said, “The committee was so shocked by his perjury that they asked him the same question multiple times … Hunter Biden, in his own transcribed interview, confirmed that that meeting took place.”

Bobulinki also said that Hunter lied under oath during his deposition with the Committee about his father’s involvement in his business dealings.

Asking Bobulinski about Hunter’s claims, Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) asked, “During his deposition, Hunter Biden repeatedly testified under oath that his father was not involved in his business in any capacity and that there wasn’t even a connection between his father and his businesses. Here is just one example, quote ‘I just state for the record one more time, under oath and under penalty of perjury, my father has never been involved in my business. I have never asked my father to be involved in my business. My father has never benefited from my business, and I have never asked anyone or my father to do anything for the benefit of anyone I’ve ever done business for.'”

“Yet the Ways and Means Committee released a WhatsApp message that were provided by the IRS whistleblowers showing that Hunter Biden wrote on July 30, 2017, quote, ‘I’m sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. I’m sitting here waiting for the call with my father.’ Moreover, you testified that Hunter was not shy about his ability to get his father on the phone, and Devin Archer testified that there were multiple instances in which Hunter placed his dad on speaker phone. Mr. Bobulinski, was Hunter Biden telling the truth when he testified under oath that his father was never involved in any of his business dealings?” Smith added.

In response, Bobulinski said, “No, he was not. Those are all blatant lies.”

Bobulinski once again refuted Hunter’s claim not to know who the “Big Guy” referenced in an infamous 2017 email.

Asked by Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) who the “big guy” was, Bobulinski said, “Joe Biden.”

In order to get confirmation of Bobulinski’s claim, Jordan then asked, “Because when Hunter Biden did his deposition under oath, he said, I don’t know who it is, even though he was copied on an email that said H will hold 10% for the big guy. You sure the big guy is Joe Biden.”

In response, Bobulinski said, “One thousand percent, and there’s other text messages that back that up that the brave whistleblowers [Gary] Shapley and [Joe] Ziegler have produced – not from my phones, not from my BlackBerry that I took screenshots from. They took them from subpoenas directly from Apple’s iCloud that back up the fact that Hunter knew the big was Joe Biden.”
