Former President Donald Trump is confident that Iran would never have attacked Israel if he were president of the United States. He made the assertion in a statement to Truth Social in which he expressed support for Israel after Iran launched a wave of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and suicide drones at the Middle East nation on Saturday.

“ISRAEL IS UNDER ATTACK! This should never have been allowed to happen – This would NEVER have happened if I were President!” Trump wrote.

He went on to blast President Joe Biden, who returned to Washington from a trip to his Delaware home on Saturday to consult with his national security team about the hostilities in the Middle East, according to the White House.

“AFTER READING MY TRUTH, BIDEN’S HANDLERS CONVINCED HIM NOT TO RELEASE HIS TAPED SPEECH ON ISRAEL. HE’LL NOW ATTEMPT TO DO IT LIVE, PROBABLY TOMORROW. HE DOESN’T WANT TO LEAVE HIS HOUSE, WITH THE CORVETTE, IN DELAWARE!!!” Trump wrote.

The GOP presumptive nominee declared support for Israel in another post, in which he wrote, “AMERICA SUPPORTS ISRAEL!”

Trump also spoke in support of Israel during a rally at Schnecksville in Pennsylvania. “Before going any further, I want to say God Bless the people of Israel. They’re under attack right now. That’s that’s because we show great weakness. This would not happen, the weakness that we’ve shown is unbelievable, and it would not have happened if we were in office. You know that, they know that, everybody knows that,” he stated.

‘But America prays for Israel. We send our absolute support to everyone in harm’s way. This is an attack that would not have happened and then to think about to think about what we have to go through and the things we put up with; with the border, with the no energy independence, with all electric cars…but we will return the world to peaceful strength and it will happen very quickly,” he added.

On Saturday, Iran launched up to 500 suicide drones on Israel in retaliation for the killing of top Iranian generals in an Israeli strike on April 1.

“The aerospace unit of the Revolutionary Guards has attacked targets in Israel with dozens of drones and missiles in reaction to the Zionist regime’s crimes, including the attack on the consulate section of Iran’s embassy in Damascus and martyring our commanders and military advisers in Syria,” Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said in a statement.

Iran later said that it has launched ballistic missiles and cruise missiles at Israel.

The attack on Israel comes a day after Biden warned Iran not to attack Israel amid reports that an attack from Iran was imminent and would come “sooner, rather than later.”

During a speech at the National Action Network Convention in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Friday, Biden warned Iran with the word, “Don’t,” while expressing commitment to Israel’s defense.

“We are devoted to the defense of Israel. We will support Israel. We will defend — help defend Israel. And Iran will not succeed. Thank you very much,” he said.
