The RNC has created a site detailing what it considers to be Harris’ “radically liberal policies,” noting that as of now, her official campaign page doesn’t offer anything in the way of policy proposals.
The RNC’s site dives into Harris’ stances on several issues, such as criminal justice reform and her support for the Green New Deal.
The site also criticizes her for not offering a policy agenda to voters, saying she is “weak, failed and dangerously liberal.”
The site continues, stating that “Kamala Harris is so radical she makes ‘the Squad’ look like moderates” and insinuates that a vote for Joe Biden would be allowing someone to abolish the borders of America while letting criminals take over streets in addition to embracing cartels as well as a floodgate amount of fentanyl; along with declaring war on American energy destroying what it means to have an american dream.
One day later, on August 6, Harris dropped her first policy proposal — a plan to end taxes on service and hospitality workers’ tips that came within weeks of former President Donald Trump releasing an identical idea of his own.
Republicans, and Trump in particular — calling Harris a ‘‘commie’’ from time to time since getting elected — have said that her plans are unamerican. Trump recently said at a Pennsylvania rally, “Comrade Kamala just announced that now she wants to put everything under socialist price controls after creating massive inflation.”
The RNC’s website further points to Harris comments on health care, namely her call for an end of private health insurance – a platform she took up during the 2020 Democratic primary — as part and parcel with his new support this time around. Harris also co-sponsored Senator Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) Medicare-for-All bill which would create a single-payer system overseen by the federal government.
More criticism of Harris is directed at her environmental record noting that she has said “I am proud to have delivered on the most ambitious climate agenda in history” and supports banning fracking and canceling the Keystone XL pipeline.
