Larry Nassar, the disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor and convicted child molester who was stabbed in prison during an attempted murder plot by a fellow inmate last year, still bears the hideous scars after his operation.

“He came in here looking like a victim and acting like a victim,” said a guard at FCI Coleman, a Florida federal prison.

“He was an easy target. They called him a little b—h and treated him like a doormat. And that’s still happening at his new prison, as far as I know. He’s in danger every day, because he’s weak.”

The threat to Nassar may be multiplied because the US Gymnastics Team – which he preyed on members of in recent years – is currently playing at the Paris Olympics. Gymnast Simone Biles was abused by Nassar, she confirmed Friday after winning gold in the all-around individual gymnastics final Thursday.

“Lots of these guys have no contact with their family, and they look up to these Olympians. They are fans. And he’s hated because of what he did not only to little girls, but to heroic little girls,” said the guard.

Nassar nearly died last July, and was moved from FCI Coleman to the medium-security lockup in Pennsylvania back 2023. Nassar was reportedly attacked by fellow inmate Shane McMillan at his cell, stabbing Nassar several times with a shank.

Nassar received injuries to his back, chest, torso and arms. The source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, requested anonymity for himself since he still has visible scars from being stabbed more than 100 times in an unrelated incident years earlier.

Nassar is serving a 40 to 175-year sentence in state and federal prisons on convictions. He pleaded guilty to seven counts of criminal sexual conduct in Ingham County, Michigan and three more such charges are pending against him there; he also has pleaded guilty to engaging in sex acts with young women on the US Olympic Gymnastics Team. He has also admitted to possessing child sex abuse photos in another matter.

Nassar was taken down by some of the highest-profile athletes against whom he allegedly committed sexual abuse, Olympians including Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney.

In the interviews, several prisoners said Nassar had been sexually servicing Mexican gang members, but that struck the suburban guard as probably a more financial and political relationship than one for sexual favors.

“When weak people need protection, they have 2 things to give, either sex or money. He had money and bought them items. I know that for a fact. Now the guys may have spread the rumor that he sucked their d–ks just to humiliate him, but I’d be really surprised if he actually did. His currency is money, not sex,” the guard said.
