Hunter Biden appeared in high spirits on Friday as he enjoyed lunch at a high-end Malibu restaurant, just one day after pleading guilty to tax evasion charges in a Los Angeles court.

Accompanied by Secret Service agents, the President’s son was seen smiling broadly as he juggled his cellphone while heading to Moonshadows Malibu for lunch. The restaurant is known for its “award-winning ocean view dining” and promises guests a dining experience that “will scintillate all your senses.”

Hunter, 54, spent approximately two hours at the New American restaurant, dressed casually in a baseball cap featuring Hawaii’s flag and several bracelets below his rolled-up sleeves, before being driven away.

Despite the high-profile nature of his visit, there was no noticeable reaction from others in the upscale Pacific Ocean enclave. “Honestly, I didn’t even know he was here,” a Moonshadows Malibu employee told The Post.

The day before, Hunter had pleaded guilty to nine counts in the federal tax evasion case against him, stating that he did so to “spare” his family further “embarrassment.” In a statement, he expressed, “I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy and needless embarrassment. For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”

Prosecutors had been prepared to present evidence of Hunter’s struggles with crack cocaine addiction and his alleged spending of tens of thousands of dollars on strippers and pornography while evading $1.4 million in taxes.

Hunter is scheduled to be sentenced in the tax case on December 16 and could face a maximum of 17 years in prison. He was also previously convicted of three felony counts in Delaware related to purchasing a gun while battling his addiction, for which he will be sentenced on November 13. Those charges carry a potential sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
