Former President Donald Trump shot back at Vice President Kamala Harris in response to her speech on Thursday night during the Democratic National Convention— accusing her of having “done nothing for three and a half years but talk.”

Harris, the first black woman to do so in American history, spoke from Chicago at an empty venue on the fourth and final night of the Democratic National Convention when she accepted her party’s nomination. The speech, which ran a bit short of 40 minutes, was loaded with denunciations of Trump. Trump hit back on Truth Social.

“She’s done nothing for three and a half years but talk, and that’s what she’s doing tonight, she’s complaining about everything but doing nothing!” Trump wrote in one post. “She should leave the Speech right now, go to Washington, D.C., close the Border, allow fracking in Pennsylvania and other places, and start doing the things she’s complaining about aren’t done!”

“The Tyrants are laughing at her, she’s weak and ineffective, and for three and a half years she has done nothing except enabled them to get STRONG, RICH, and POWERFUL!” he added.

Perhaps what riled up Trump the most, however, were Harris comments about his southern border and illegal immigration policies.

“Let me be clear, after decades in law enforcement, I know the importance of safety and security, especially at our border,” Harris said during her speech. “Last year, Joe and I brought together Democrats and conservative Republicans to write the strongest border bill in decades. The border patrol endorsed it. But Donald Trump believes a border deal would hurt his campaign, so he ordered his allies in Congress to kill the deal.”

The Republican nominee responded to Harris’ attack, writing, “The Border Bill is one of the worst ever written, would have allowed millions of people into our Country, and it’s only a political ploy by her! It legalizes Illegal Immigration, and is a TOTAL DISASTER, WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE! She doesn’t need a Bill. As President, Crooked Joe and her could have just said, ‘CLOSE THE BORDER!’ like I did – I didn’t have a Bill, I didn’t need a Bill. The Border Patrol respected me, they did their job. We had the Safest Border in Recorded History!”

During her speech, Harris also touted her pro-abortion position when she accused Trump of plotting to “cut off access to birth control, ban medication abortion and impose a nationwide abortion limit – with or without Congress.”

Trump responded by saying he meant that as an answer and accused Harris of misrepresenting his position when the president has repeatedly stated that abortion should be a states-rights issue.

“Everybody, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, and Conservatives, wanted Roe v. Wade TERMINATED, and brought back to the States. Like Ronald Reagan and myself, most believe in EXCEPTIONS,” Trump said. “Now the people are voting, which is the way it was supposed to be. I do not limit access to birth control or I.V.F. – THAT IS A LIE, these are all false stories that she’s making up, that I’ve never even heard of. It’s just words coming out of her mouth.”

Trump, too, slammed Harris for leaving out of her address crucial topics.

“She didn’t mention China, she didn’t mention fracking, she didn’t mention Energy, she didn’t mention, meaningfully, Russia and Ukraine, she didn’t mention the big subjects of the day, that are destroying our Country,” he wrote. “There are 60 million people in poverty in the U.S., under their watch, and she doesn’t even talk about them!”
