O’Donnell, who has maintained a long-standing feud with Donald Trump spanning almost 20 years, revealed on TikTok that she relocated to Ireland on January 15, just before his inauguration. This move fulfilled a promise she made prior to Trump’s first presidential victory in 2016.
The television personality relocated with her 12-year-old adopted daughter Dakota, leaving behind her other children and social circle. She stated she would consider returning to America only when she feels all citizens can enjoy equal rights.
The situation took an interesting turn when Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin visited the White House. During the visit, right-wing commentator Brian Glenn questioned Martin about accepting O’Donnell as a resident, suggesting she might impact Ireland’s happiness levels. Trump concurred with Glenn’s sentiment and advised Martin that he was better off not knowing about O’Donnell.

When O’Donnell first threatened to leave the country during Trump’s 2016 campaign, he responded to Fox News by suggesting her departure would constitute “a great service to our country!”
