A confrontation erupted outside a DOGE event in Washington, D.C., leading to the temporary detention of a protester who spat at entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David.

The incident occurred when demonstrators gathered outside the venue, chanting “DOGE is a disease” during the evening event, which kicked off at approximately 8 p.m.

Several protesters documented their presence through social media videos, though law enforcement had cleared the area by 10 p.m.

Bet-David, who founded the Valuetainment YouTube channel and has established himself as an author and podcaster, addressed the incident on X, stating: “His spit hit the special agent in the back. Cops moved in very quickly. He was arrested instantly. Bunch of cowards who have no clue how to have a discourse.”

According to various social media posts and video evidence, the detained protester was released shortly after the incident.
