LaGuardia Airport witnessed a sudden evacuation on Saturday morning due to unspecified “police activity,” causing potential flight disruptions and leaving travelers in a state of uncertainty. Passengers were swiftly relocated from the terminals to a parking garage at the airport complex, as captured in video footage by PIX11’s Arrianee LeBeau.

The airport’s official X account confirmed the ongoing police activity at Terminal B, warning of likely flight schedule disruptions. However, they did not provide any details about the nature of the incident that prompted the evacuation.

As the situation unfolded, the airport authorities took to X to inform passengers that they were being moved to the parking lot for safety reasons. The sudden turn of events caught many travelers off guard, including Roger Batson, who shared his experience on social media.

“Well, this is not good, was right about to go through security at LaGuardia Terminal B when TSA stopped all screening, then told everyone to evacuate the terminal,” Batson wrote, expressing his surprise at the unexpected situation.

At the time of reporting, it remained unclear whether the evacuation order extended beyond Terminal B or if other areas of the airport were also affected. The lack of detailed information left many passengers and onlookers questioning about the cause and extent of the disruption.
