On a recent episode of Fox News Channel’s “Fox News @ Night,” Harris-Walz Campaign Surrogate Lindy Li expressed her views on immigration, which she acknowledged might be controversial within her own party. As a naturalized American citizen, Li emphasized her pride in being part of the country and her family’s journey to citizenship.

Li voiced concerns about irregular immigration through the southern border, stating that her family had followed the proper legal channels when immigrating from England. She highlighted their contributions to the American economy, including job creation, and argued for a more structured immigration process.

The surrogate expressed frustration with what she perceives as a tendency within the Democratic Party to support overly permissive immigration policies. She suggested that party members who advocate for stricter immigration controls risk facing criticism or ostracism.

“I don’t want millions of people entering our country through the southern border without proper documentation. My family and I came the right way,” Li stated. She added, “It’s not fair for people to just jump the line because they want to.”

Li’s comments reflect a growing debate within the Democratic Party regarding immigration policy, with some members calling for a more balanced approach that addresses both humanitarian concerns and the need for border security.
