Travis Kelce addressed the recent controversy involving his brother Jason Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast. The incident, which took place at Pennsylvania State University, saw Jason in a heated exchange with a college student who made derogatory comments about Travis and his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Travis expressed support for his brother, acknowledging that Jason was defending their family. He said, “You had some individual come up to you talking about your family,” and added that Jason reacted in a way that was protective, even if he might regret some of the words used.

The Kansas City Chiefs player commended Jason for his sincerity in owning up to the situation and apologizing on ESPN. Travis emphasized that the viral nature of the incident was making it appear more significant than it actually was, stating, “Everybody passing around the videos is gonna make it a bigger situation than what it really is.”

Jason reiterated his regrets about the incident, particularly his use of a derogatory slur. He expressed a desire to move past the “really unwise situation” and acknowledged that his reaction was “over the line.” Jason explained that while he wanted to confront the fan’s offensive comments, he realized that his response wasn’t constructive.

Travis suggested that the incident would have been insignificant if Jason had simply ignored the provocative comments and continued walking. He reassured his brother that the behavior displayed in the video doesn’t reflect Jason’s true character.

While Taylor Swift hasn’t publicly commented on the situation, she was seen embracing Jason at Travis’ recent game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The incident has garnered significant attention, but both Kelce brothers seem eager to move forward and put the controversy behind them.
